AeroDial Privacy Policy

AeroDial ("we", "us", or "our") operates the AeroDial mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

• Video footage you record: Used solely to compute frontal area and CdA estimates. Video is processed on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to upload for cloud analysis (Phase 2 feature, opt-in only).
• Analysis results: CdA values, frontal area measurements, and position comparisons stored locally on your device. Cloud sync is opt-in and requires account creation.
• Account information (optional): Email address if you create an account for session history and premium features.
• Crash and diagnostic data: Anonymous crash reports to help us improve reliability. No personally identifiable information is included.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Compute aerodynamic analysis results (on-device)
• Sync session history to your account (only if you opt in)
• Improve app stability and performance via anonymised crash reports
• Communicate service updates (only if you create an account)

3. Data Storage and Security

By default, all video and analysis data remains on your device and is never sent to our servers. If you enable cloud sync, data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Camera and Photo Library Access

The App requests camera access to record cycling footage for analysis. Photo library access is requested only if you choose to import existing videos or save analysis results. These permissions are used exclusively within the App.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services for crash reporting and analytics. These services may collect anonymised usage data per their own privacy policies:

• Expo Application Services (EAS) — build and update delivery

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you have created an account, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your session data in a machine-readable format
• Opt out of any non-essential data processing

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
